Your East Anglian Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 39)

Two of our bridesmaids wore olive dresses and the youngest, my maid-of- honour Chloe, had a pastel pink and lilac-toned one with green detailing. They carried floral hoops which we used as decorations for the evening reception. George chose his suit based on his personal style and taste rather than a theme or colour scheme and asked his brother Jordan, who was best man, to do the same. The pageboys looked adorable in their dinosaur-print shirts and they were excited to wear them. Our vicar David Crofts and two members of St Mary’s Church played guitar and sang for us during the ceremony which made it more personal and heartfelt than we could ever have imagined. My dress and the fabric for my veil were by Rime Arodaky. I’m a hairdresser and I knew I wanted something a bit different when it came to the headwear, so I had mine made based on an image of a similar headband-style I’d found. Although St Mary’s is a huge church, the choir pews at the front were ideal for our immediate family and provided the cosy, intimate setting we wanted. 46
