Inspired by the wonderful East Anglian countryside, local wedding suppliers got together at Wellington Woods, an upcoming new tipi wedding venue in Northwold, Norfolk, to show how nature and pets can be at the heart of your celebration. “We wanted to feature bespoke, locally hand-crafted and personalised ideas with natural textures and connections with the outdoor setting,” explains shoot organiser and photographer Vicky Plumridge. Rustic details included upcycled wood, pallet furniture, straw-bale sofas and handmade wooden signs. Personalised hand-drawn wedding invitations, locally grown flower confetti and handmade wedding rings added to the bespoke theme. With sustainability in mind, natural materials were used as much as possible including hessian aisle and table runners, wooden boards as plates and help-yourself grazing tables to cut down on food waste. The wooden bar was stocked with local ales, wine and refillable Norfolk gin bottles. The natural make-up, glitter art and hair products were also vegan-based. “We wanted to celebrate the simple idea that being surrounded by nature on such a special occasion with loved ones, including beloved pets, can create beautiful inspirational style ideas that are affordable, sustainable and personal,” adds Vicky.
