Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - March/April 2021 (Issue 30)

LOOKING THE PART Ana chose an ivory satin A-line gown with a full skirt teamed with a sparkly overskirt and a belt which she wore with a pair of Jenny Packham shoes. “I kept my hair simple and added a few sprigs of gypsophila to match both my bouquet and the bridesmaids' posies,” Ana tells us. “Our bridesmaids wore matching blue multi-way dresses teamed with sparkly sandals and matching clutch bags.” Stephen wore a pair of pale blue shorts teamed with a white cotton shirt and grey jacket and his groomsmen had matching outfits finished with white leather Converse trainers. "Even our pageboys wore a little pair of shorts and trainers to match!" Ana describes “Hannah and Melody who did Ana’s make-up and hair both made her feel so special on the morning of our wedding.” — Stephen “Our photographer, Grant, made us feel so comfortable and at ease for the entire day and his photographs have made our celebration look amazing! He was very calm and understanding when Ana had a minor meltdown and even when I still had shirts to iron about an hour before the ceremony was due to start! All our suppliers made our day feel extra-special." — Stephen TIME TO CELEBRATE “Because of the restrictions, our day was a little different to what we had originally planned!” Stephen tells us. “We were unable to have a typical reception after the blessing, due to the restrictions, so instead we paid for our guests to enjoy a meal at the hotel in the evening. We did manage to sneak some glasses of bubbly down to Porthgwidden beach along with some chips where the children were kept entertained with building sandcastles and paddling in the water!” REAL WEDDINGS 29
