Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 27)

29  REAL WEDDINGS grounds are so beautiful!” Roxanne tells us. The couple styled their wedding with a coral, navy and grey colour theme. “My friend Lydia created our table plan and she also made our name cards in coral watercolours to tie in with our colour palette,” Roxanne explains. “For our table centrepieces, we had large balloons printed with Mr and Mrs Raymond presented in the middle of each table that worked so well with the high ceilings in the grand hall. We gave personalised love hearts that said ‘thank you for being part of our happy ever after’ as our favours, and displayed beautiful arrangements of flowers around the venue.” LOOKING THE PART “My dress was by the designer Randy Fenoli purchased from The Wedding Company Bridal Boutique in Plymouth. As soon as I tried it on in the shop, I just knew it was the one , Roxanne tells us. “I cried and made my family cry too! Our bridesmaids wore full-length coral chiffon dresses to tie in with our colour theme and our flowergirl, who was our daughter, looked adorable in her ivory dress and shoes. We hired grey suits for Billy and our dads teamed with coral ties to coordinate with our bridesmaids and our ushers and Billy’s best man wore navy suits with coral ties.” TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple decided on a disco during their evening reception. “This worked so well because Bespoke Disco who provided this also allowed us to hire their light-up dancefloor and giant illuminated LOVE letters,” Roxanne says. “Our guests loved it and were up dancing all night! Looking back on our day, it all went by so fast and was very emotional. We both loved every second of it – it was our dream day and we wouldn’t change a single thing.” “Our photographer, Martyn, did a great job of organising all of our loved ones for the photographs, making everybody laugh and putting everyone at ease to capture them at their best. It would've have been a very different day without him!” - Roxanne and Billy Groom’s top tip: “Make sure that you have a tow rope to hand!” - Billy
