Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - March/April 2024 (Issue 74)

I wore a second-hand Ted Baker wedding dress, the moment I saw it I knew it was the one. I went to this lovely girl’s house to try it on and was blown away not just by how well it suited my style, but by how well it fit me. It was meant to be! I paired my dress with white lace Converse (I’m not a heels girl) and a ceramic flower hair band. Before the ceremony, as I walked down the aisle, and during the signing of the register, my brothers sang and played piano. This was incredibly special and emotional. The whole ceremony was unforgettable. I absolutely sobbed my way down the aisle! My emotions really took me by surprise. Dan was really touched by it and made him tear up too. Our bridal party included our one-year-old niece accompanied by our sister-in-law, plus our puppy accompanied by Dan’s little sister. Our baby niece wore a white and gold dress, and our fur baby had on green velvet accessories. Both sisters wore burgundy dresses. “The most important thing about planning our wedding was that we did it as sustainably as possible” – Maddy 34
