Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - November/December 2020 (Issue 54)

I felt extremely nervous, hoping everything would go to plan, but as soon as I was ready I seemed to relax. Walking down the aisle, seeing all our family and friends was incredible. I’ll never forget the way Mark looked at me when he first saw me. My daughter, Olivia, was a flowergirl and stood up with our other flowergirl, Mila, to do the cutest speech during the ceremony. But, as she was walking back to her chair, she knocked over a candle, which landed on the train of my dress. Mark sprung into action, saving it from going up in flames! The groomsmen complemented Mark’s look with black suits, grey waistcoats and pale pink ties, which matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. My accessories were kept simple and elegant, with diamond stud earrings, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a beautiful necklace that Mark surprised me with the night before the wedding. REAL WEDDINGS 29 I wanted my dress to reflect my personal style, something simple and fitted but also elegant. I decided on an ivory lace, strapless, fitted dress by Pronovias. The groom wore a black jacket, grey waistcoat and trousers with a silver tie.
