Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 53)

VOICE OF EXPERIENCE Andrew Jackson, a former BBC radio presenter, recently launched a new voice-over agency based in Merseyside. In time, when restrictions permit, he aims to branch out into presenting and compering weddings. With a background in TV and radio, Jackson formed Jackson Jabbers after many years of providing ad-hoc voice-overs and MCing numerous weddings. Increased recent interest encouraged him to form his own venture, working out of a specially converted room in his home near Liverpool. “It’s an exciting and challenging time to launch a new business, but with a Covid-enforced career break, and time on my hands, I ran out of excuses. My voice is quite different from the norm,” he explains. As if this weren’t enough to ensure a wedding day to remember, it has recently unveiled a luxury refurbishment. The venue hosts regular wedding open evenings on the last Wednesday of each month from 6pm-8pm, where you can discover the range of services the hotel can bring to your big day as well as being wowed by its new look. Widnes-based couple Louise Arnold and Jennifer Wilson took their vows in the beautifully lit and decorated Runcorn Town Hall, just minutes into the day the government lifted the most stringent of its Covid-19 restrictions on weddings. Jennifer’s parents were unable to attend, but watched the “I dos” online from their home in Australia, as did some of the couple’s friends and family in New Zealand, which is where they met. Ceremony dates and times are still available, but are filling up fast, so if you’re looking to say tie the knot in Halton, don’t delay. Check out www.weddingsinhalton.co.uk or call 0151 511 7711.
