25  REAL WEDDINGS DRESSED TO IMPRESS After trying on every style of silhouette available, the bride found herself attracted to the neatly tucked-in waist and big A-line skirt of an Allure Bridals ballgown. “It suited my figure, and when I tried it on, I felt so special. I knew it was the one .” As the bodice was embellished with pearls, there was no need for too many accessories, so she chose a subtle headband, a pair of Tiffany earrings borrowed from her sister, and a Tiffany heart bracelet bought for her by the groom. Jack had always wanted to get married in a kilt, so it was lucky that his groomsmen and the dads were happy to embrace the look too! The groom set himself apart by wearing a plaid and pairing a tartan tie with a different coloured sporran. “I was so excited to see them all together stood outside the beautiful hall,” the bride says. The bridesmaids were dressed in silver with a hint of soft iced blue, as Hayley always knew she wanted a pale and delicate hue for them. THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT Guests were welcomed by the sound of bagpipes, which Hayley could hear as she was putting on her dress. “It was a surreal moment for me, I felt like a princess,” she remembers. The piper also played as the newlyweds made their reception entrance to the cheers of everyone assembled. The brother of one of the couple’s close friends performs magic as a hobby and was more than happy to entertain guests during the wedding breakfast. Hayley remembers, “He was in his element. I could see the laughter on everyone’s faces as he made his way around the room.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS For the bride, the moment her father saw her in her dress for the first time was one to remember: “My three sisters were my bridesmaids, so my dad got to see the four of us and my mum before the wedding, all looking our best. He was very proud,” Hayley tells us. She later made her ceremony entrance to The Secret Wedding by James Horner from Braveheart, and says, “I could see Jack getting emotional as I started walking down the aisle, which was nice as he doesn’t often show that side. The song provided such a wonderful ambience and most of our guests shed a tear too.” Jack had his heart set on having smoke bombs for a bit of fun, and photographer Michael arranged to make his wish come true. The wedding party danced in front of the hall creating a sky full of colour while loved ones watched from the windows. WITH THANKS Hayley says: “Every supplier was absolutely perfect. They all made sure everything was spot on and just how we wanted. Our photographer, Michael, was a great attribute and our wedding photos are absolutely fantastic, we couldn’t have wished for better. Our toastmaster, Pete, was also fantastic. He made Jack and I feel so special and always made sure we had a drink in hand and organised the day to perfection.” 5 
