What would you suggest? Emma says: Elegance comes from pure classic accents on your gown, and we’re loving the new take on a bigger skirt with A-line silhouette. You still get volume, but without the tulle, so they’re lighter and easier to move around in all day, while giving you the freedom to dance away all night. Our Madi Lane Elora gown is perfect for the dancefloor. It boasts a structured bodice, with soft romantic, removeable bardot sleeves and a whimsical lace skirt. This dress will have plenty of movement while you throw some shapes. We’re in love. BEAUT I FUL BR IDE We love real bride Sarah’s look from this issue. How did you create it? Faye says : Sarah went with a dewy golden bronze look with a super-relaxed boho up do – my absolute favourite look. The key products I used are some of my staples. They were: Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, Nars Sheer Glow, Nars Laguna Bronzer, Too Faced Natural Lust palette, Violet Voss Holy Grail palette, and Marc Jacobs Gel Eyeliner. I also used individual cluster lashes, which are absolutely perfect for brides as they’re so lightweight. What’s more, I always advise my brides to get a good skincare regime going months before the big day, as this is key for achieving that flawless base. For Sarah’s hair we went with a full textured up do, so I advised her to get extensions as her hair is naturally quite fine. I’ll often recommend this to as it gives you more styles to choose from, and if you’re wearing your hair down, the style will hold much better. Make sure you get real hair extensions though, so that you can use heat on them. Sarah finished her look with a chunky headband, which is so on trend and she totally rocked it. PERFECT T IMING When should I book my wedding hair and make-up in order to make sure my bridal look is bang on trend? Julie says: First of all – do your research. Once you’ve looked at various artists, read their reviews and check that they’re a qualified professional specialising in bridal before making your enquiry. This is a vital step as only those with experience will understand your requirements, but also exactly how your morning schedule should run. When you’re satisfied, go ahead and secure your date with them and get a contract. This may be some time before the wedding so you can be sure of getting the artist you really want. Next, you’ll be looking to have your trial within three to six months before the big day. It’s at this point that seasonal product fashions come into consideration. Together, you’ll also want to consider whether you’re planning to make any changes before the wedding, such as cut and colour, which may alter the viability of the look you’re discussing. Remember, the right pro artist will always be in communication with you to make sure you have exactly the look you want for the most important day of your life.
