The top table was a picture of both of us when we got engaged. We had fairylights draped from the beams, a light curtain and an LED dancefloor. Andy is an electrician by trade so he has a thing about lights! He was right though; they really finished the room off beautifully. One of my favourite touches was our “meet the maids” and “meet the groomsmen” boards. They were full of pictures and a little bit about how we knew them all. I also made a blanket basket so that our guests could sit outside in the evening. It said “to have and to hold in case you get cold”. Local band The Captains of Industry entertained guests in the evening. They were a huge hit and got everyone dancing. My stepdad used to be in a band, so he performed a couple of songs, which was lovely. He was in his element. I can’t express enough how amazing our photographer, Michael, was. He made everyone feel at ease, and had a laugh with us. The pictures are so much better than we could have imagined. 28
