As I combed through the archives, this breathtaking image by amyfaithphotography.com leapt out at me, and I knew I had to share it with you. After all, you can never have too much of a good thing! W elcome to our very special 50 th anniversary celebration issue! I’m feeling super-proud to be the editor of this milestone edition, and we’ve put together some exciting content with the help of the region’s marvellous wedding suppliers, which we hope you’ll love. The magazine launched as Your Merseyside Wedding magazine in 2012, as part of County Wedding Magazines’ ever-growing stable of hugely popular regional wedding titles, and in the summer of 2016, its beautiful neighbouring county was welcomed into the fold, to become Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding. I couldn’t have been happier to take over the helm in March 2019, so it’s actually a bit of anniversary for me also, as I celebrate my first year with you all. To commemorate our eight years and 50 issues of bringing you all things wedding from around the region, for these pages I’ve scoured the archives to find some favourite products and pics that we’ve featured, past and present. Also, don’t miss our gold inspired page (p43). Although we’re getting on a bit now, we’re not as aged as the incredible historical venues we’ve rounded up on page 19 for you. Plus, there’re no less than three local shoots to be found in this issue, one of which features our lovely real bride, Ashleigh, from issue 48, and her horse, Riley (p58). If you’re wondering how to incorporate your chosen palette into your big day, certainly the most visually impressive place to start is with your flowers. So, we asked the region’s florists for inspiration based-on the most popular colour schemes, which you can find on page 53. And, if your W-day is on the horizon you might be looking for those all-important finishing touches, to complete your look. So, check out page 61 for our top tips on accessorising with sparkle and shine. Happy planning one and all! The fabulous Teresa C Photography was responsible for one of my favourite covers during my own tenure on the magazine – issue 48’s cheeky 60s-inspired classic! joannarosephotography.co.uk katemcccarthyphotography.co.uk My first issue as editor! I’m essentially a nosey type, so I adore finding out about our real couples’ wedding days. I covered Jodie and Daniel’s big day, and their personality-filled group shots set in the grand Knowsley Hall, stayed in my memory. teresac.co.uk amyfaithphotography.com
