Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 50)

Willow & Fig provided our table plan, which was a large wooden chalkboard – brilliantly in keeping with the rest of the rustic décor. The place names were decorated in gold leaf as a nod to our rustic theme, with a touch of opulence. We purchased a set of wine cork holders from Etsy for the table numbers. The centrepieces were large log slices, topped with glass vases, adorned with simple greenery and containing floating tea lights. Our favours were traditional Indian sweets, which we ordered from Ambala sweet shop in Manchester, and presented in small boxes. I chose roses and gypsophila for my bouquet and had smaller versions for the bridesmaids. The gents wore simple white rose buttonholes. Our three-tier cake was flavoured with red velvet, coconut, and white chocolate. We bought a doughnut wall from eBay and hired a candy cart, light up LOVE letters, fairylights, suitcases for the cards, flip flop baskets, and bathroom toiletries from Willow & Fig We love the food at Oh Me Oh My – it’s always been a great place to eat in Liverpool. So, the venue provided our daytime catering and we treated guests to midnight snacks from Turtle Bay restaurant in Liverpool for an added Caribbean twist. REAL WEDDINGS 39
