He created a playlist based on requests made by our guests prior to the day and the dancefloor was forever full. My family and husband are all Liverpool fans, so I had the DJ play You’ll Never Walk Alone for them as a surprise tribute. My granddad had been poorly so we were incredibly thankful that he was able to make it on the day. He joined us on the dancefloor in his wheelchair to join in the singing, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! It was a complete surprise for my husband and guests when I sang Make You Feel My Love during the speeches. The toastmaster introduced me and it was the scariest moment of my life, but I’m so glad I went through with it. It was my way of showing Ian how much he means to me. It was important to us to have moments that showed our personalities. So, think about what’s important to you. Family always comes first for Ian, and myself, so including them in the fun was our main objective. 34
