Arley Hall & Gardens 01565 777 037 | arleyhallevents.co.uk | CW9 6NA The striking contrast of the red brick of Arley Hall against the idyllic oasis that surrounds it provides endless picture-perfect settings for photographs. The grounds have been tended by generations of the same family for more than 250 years and feature herbaceous borders, trickling streams and an abundance of colourful flowers. Exuding warmth and grandeur, guests step through the doors to find elegant reception rooms boasting opulent chandeliers, large windows and fireplaces. Brides and grooms wishing to tie the knot al fresco can do so in The Alcove. Now licensed for ceremonies and holding up to 100 people, couples can exchange vows surrounded by the natural beauty of blue skies, green lawns and vibrant plants. Arley Hall itself has three licensed ceremony rooms, hosting up to 100 family and friends. There are also two fabulous barn venues on-site, The Cruck Barn and Olympia Barn, offering a fun alternative with their exposed beams and rustic charm. There are a number of dining options depending on the size of the party, the largest of which is the new glass roof marquee. Set in the courtyard, the semi-permanent structure allows parties to dine under the skies before moving to the Olympia Barn to dance the night away. Each couple is invited for a menu tasting with the head chef to discuss their menu and they also get a room on the day for final preparations before their wedding. Pryors Hayes Golf Club 01829 741 250 | pryorshayes.co.uk | CH3 8NL Pryors is a new venue nestled in 120 acres of rolling Cheshire countryside. Set at the end of a winding driveway, the golf course and gardens offer beautiful vistas while the building itself has a barn aesthetic with modern facilities. In the summer, couples can make use of the Celebration Garden with its licensed gazebo for an outdoor ceremony. The gardens are perfectly landscaped with raised flowerbeds, topiary and an antique Italianate wall fountain. To the rear of the venue is a spacious terraced area ideal for entertaining guests with a drinks reception or barbecue. If the sun isn’t shining, couples can opt for a ceremony and reception for up to 200 loved ones in the oak-panelled Pryors Suite. Full of rustic charm, it boasts exposed Cheshire brick, wooden beams and a simple, elegant interior suitable for any theme. The glazed wall looks out on to the grounds and fills the venue with natural light. Intimate weddings for up to 50 loved ones are held in the Members Lounge. Pryors offers couples a free menu tasting as well as a master of ceremonies to make sure everything runs smoothly on their special day. 20
