BRIDAL BOUTIQUES 57 MEET SARAH HACKETT OF ROOKERY BRIDAL Describe your boutique and service in five words… Gorgeous gowns, fantastic customer service! What designers do you stock? Justin Alexander, Essense of Australia, Paloma Blanca, Randy Fenoli, Romantica of Devon – Silhouette, Rosa Clara – Adriana Alier. How did you come to launch your business? Rookery Bridal was launched nearly 20 years ago. However, I purchased it in 2019. I already owned one boutique but couldn’t resist the temptation to expand and share my love of bridal! Taking forward my goals for offering exceptional customer service and quality products, I have since set about improving the boutique so it can accommodate all brides and budgets. Why should brides choose to get their gown from a local boutique? I always shop local where I can, and I believe we should all try to support small businesses as opposed to large corporations. Most independently owned boutiques need the support of their community in order to thrive, and this is the same for us. We want to be an asset to our community. What’s your top tip for brides looking for their dream dress? Don’t worry about your figure – you are loved for who you are! Also, try not to visit too many shops; it can become overwhelming. Krystle Brides is a very special place to me and I’m so proud of how we have evolved. Why should brides choose to get their gown from a local boutique? We have the choice of beautiful hand-picked designer gowns and an on- site seamstress.
