Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - February / March 2021 (Issue 81)

51 REGIONAL SHOOT SHADES OF Wuthering Heights Incorporating the evocative colours of the Yorkshire Moors with one of the most historic settings in Somerset, this styled shoot is full of romance and intrigue Images courtesy of James and Kerrie Photography  T his styled shoot is a modern love story inspired by the iconic novel and set against a backdrop of the incredible Bishop’s Palace in Wells. “I’m so fortunate to be the in-house wedding planner at the venue, as well as owning a wedding styling business,” says shoot organiser Chloe Kennedy of Kennedy Events & Weddings. “The moment I saw the ruins of the Great Hall at the Palace, with the grey skies rolling overhead, I was transported back to my Northern roots. Now living in Somerset, I wanted to bring the two together.” Not just for traditional celebrations, Chloe was eager to show that the venue can be transformed into any style. “I wanted to inspire couples and show them that they can take this vast space and make it their own,” she explains. “I used repurposed props from my own selection alongside a rustic banqueting tablescape, with luxurious natural dyed silks and mismatched plates.” A team of local experts brought together whimsical flowers, a showstopping blue dress, exquisite cake and nods to the novel in the calligraphy to complete this beautifully romantic shoot.
