A LITTLE ROMANCE Alex and Sean celebrated their micro-wedding in style at Goldney House Images courtesy of Nick Church Photography A lex and Sean got together after both swiping right. “Like a classic modern-day relationship we met on Tinder,” Alex says. “The strange thing was, I was working in the Australian outback at the time. I had to put the distance on maximum and I only got two profiles to swipe on – thankfully, one was Sean’s!” Alex had been ill for a while, so the pair discussed their future quite openly. This meant that when she got better they both knew marriage was a step they wanted to take. “There wasn’t a big surprise proposal,” Alex remembers. “However, we did slip away for a celebratory weekend at Burgh Island Hotel for a stay at Agatha Christie’s beach hut.” Sean waited for the tide to come in around the hut so they were completely secluded before he popped the question. The loved-up couple started organising their dream day, but the arrival of the pandemic soon put paid to their plans. After two date changes and a lot of rejigging of the guest list, they held a micro-wedding on 4 th September, 2020, at Goldney House in Bristol, with a gorgeous blue colour scheme.
