After first bonding over obscure comedy references, when they should have been listening to lectures, they were soon swapping albums and films. “It wasn’t long before we were going for walks by the canal and spending whole afternoons in coffee shops,” Louise smiles. “The rest, as they say, is history.” It may have taken three proposals, but the pair did finally get engaged. “The first proposal was when we’d been going out for two weeks,” Louise laughs. “It was a lovely idea, but I said I wouldn’t hold him to it! He proposed again nine months later after a long weekend in Prague wandering picturesque streets and eating delicious food, and he proposed once more when we were back home tucked up in bed with the lights off.
