Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 78)

Ston Easton is renowned for its restaurant, and it was difficult to chose a menu from its extensive choices. Everything was delicious and we ended up choosing way more canapés than we intended Rich and his groomsmen chose classic black suits, with Rich standing out in a grey tweed waistcoat. It was such a shame that my best girls and I didn’t get to go dress shopping together, as they’re based in all four corners of England. Eventually we found a lovely, simple style from Oasis, which informed the palette for the flowers and men’s ties. I found wedding dress shopping horribly stressful! The style of dress I had in mind just didn’t suit me. It was only when I tried on my Watters Wtoo gown that I realised comfort was something I valued. I loved the detail on the bodice and straps, so I didn’t feel the need to accessorise. ANNA’S TOP TIP: We didn’t over-plan our wedding, instead focusing on the priorities: would people be well-fed? Have plenty of drinks? Have fun? This helped us to relax and enjoy every moment. REAL WEDDINGS 41 
