This collaborative shoot shows you how… Images courtesy of Lilly Sells Photography Second photographer Steve Lee Photoworks O nce owned by Henry VIII, and the place where he and Anne Boleyn spent their honeymoon, Thornbury Castle is steeped in a rich and exciting history. Is there a better setting for a classic English wedding? Hair and make-up artist Maria Lucas wanted to explore this, so she got together with Charlotte Rhodes, the wedding coordinator at the venue, and they dreamed up the most enchanting theme for a styled shoot. “I’ve worked with many brides at Thornbury Castle,” Maria tells us. “When I ask them why they chose that venue, they say they’ve aways dreamed of being a princess for the day; it’s the same dream I had as a little girl. Many of my brides come to this venue from America, so we wanted to showcase a fairytale English wedding.” Maria and her assistant, Tracy White, created the most whimsical beauty looks. The talented local team fused elegance, grace and femininity with the heritage of the building. The soft white and pink palette blended seamlessly with the opulent backdrop of the venue. Add in the glistening crowns, sumptuous cake and a horse and carriage, and you have the makings of a classic storybook wedding…  EVER AFTER… Happily
