Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - June/July 2020 (Issue 77)

REAL WEDDINGS 39  Strawberry Field Catering were amazing. The menus were delicious, with plenty of room for personalisation. For example, we switched our reception drinks to Aperol Spritz – our favourite! Tina, who was front of house, was brilliant. She got involved with every aspect of the day, leaving nothing for us to worry about. Hair and make-up was provided by the super-talented Emily and Laura from South West Bridal Hair and Make-up and Beauty by Emily Faith. They planned the morning schedule so I didn’t feel stressed at all, and made me feel like the best version of myself. I had a pretty clear vision of the type of dress I wanted: a fitted bohemian style. When I first saw Lucille by Eliza Jane Howell at Clifton Brides, I instantly loved the beautiful vintage-style beading. After trying it on, I knew it was the one. Everyone at the boutique, Michaela in particular, were so lovely and professional and made me feel so special. Michaela even made a dress for my baby niece to wear on the day from the offcuts of my gown; it will become a cherished family heirloom. The men looked handsome in mid-blue suits, while Ben wore a more vibrant royal blue to stand out. We chose sage green ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses, who were in pretty floral midi numbers. They were perfectly in-keeping with the day by having an elegant, informal style.
