Ben planned a trip to Cornwall under the guise of celebrating Jodie finishing her degree. One evening, after fish and chips on the beach, they sat outside their cottage with an Aperol Spritz. “Everything about it was Jodie’s perfect evening,” Ben says. “I knew she would say the words “it’s perfect”, which would be my cue to say how the only thing that could make it more perfect, would be if I was sat not with my girlfriend, but with my fiancée.” Unfortunately, he fluffed his lines and, in Jodie’s words, “went all weird.” Of course, the answer was still the same – Jodie said “yes”and it didn’t take her three days to decide! The pair set the date for 5 th September, 2019, and chose Wick Farm Bath for the setting. Jodie fills us in on the details… Country ESCAPE 37  REAL WEDDINGS
