Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 76)

In a nod to his Scottish heritage, Vince and his groomsmen hired traditional kilts in Black Watch tartan. My bridesmaids’ chiffon maxi dresses were accessorised with faux fur wraps to keep them warm. My Justin Alexander gown was from White Lace & Promises. I didn’t have a particular style in mind at first, but I soon found myself gravitating towards this simple, fitted ballgown style. I teamed it with a sparkly veil and hair clip along with a faux fur jacket. We had a simple semi-naked cake. There were two tiers: lemon with champagne buttercream and chocolate with salted caramel buttercream. It was finished off with a Mr and Mrs topper and berries. The venue provided the catering, which made our lives a lot easier! We opted for crowd-pleasers such as tomato soup, roast chicken with all the trimmings and a trio of mini desserts. A buffet kept everyone fuelled in the evening. We hired a beautiful Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith. Travelling from the church to the reception together as newlyweds is one of our favourite moments. We arrived to an acoustic Spanish guitarist performing for our welcome drinks. REAL WEDDINGS 35 
