Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 71)

I wore a Grace Harrington dress from Just For You Bridal. I was originally looking for a satin material. However, when I tried on my tulle gown, I knew it was the one . I felt like a real bride in it, and the fabric fit the ballet theme perfectly. It was so understated that I could add some sparkle. My mum made me a brooch bouquet, and I chose a sparkly tiara à la Meghan Markle. The men rocked black tuxedos with vintage-style black-and-white shoes and gold pocket watches. My bride squad looked like ballerinas in tulle skirts, leotards and pointed shoes with ribbons around their ankles. Our friend is a professional singer who performed lots of numbers from the ’60s, which is our favourite era. A roulette wheel kept our loved ones entertained, along with a great DJ and boomerang photo booth. Our photo session with Neil Atkinson Wedding Photography was a lot of fun, and it was his idea to make the most of being in the city centre. We took a walk through College Green and stopped traffic on Park Street! Neil also found a cool graffitied wall. REAL WEDDINGS 53  Unbeknownst to each other, we were both really nervous in the morning. I’d been awake since 4.30am, panicking about walking down the very long aisle in the church, but I soon calmed down once the prep got underway. We both enjoyed the day to the full and felt totally overwhelmed with happiness.
