All the bars are handmade in Bristol, and there’s something for all themes. “For winter, we love our smoke and cinnamon old fashioned,” Melt Bars’ Thea Wise suggests. “We mix bourbon with bitters, syrup, orange peel, Luxardo cherry and cinnamon and pour into a glass that has had cedar-board smoke trapped inside.” There are few drinks that encapsulate the taste of Somerset like Thatchers Cider. “Rich, oak-aged, golden in appearance and with a softly rounded aroma, Thatchers Vintage has a full flavour with a considered depth of character,” Penny Adair from the company tells us. “It offers cider drinkers absolute perfection.
