Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 100)

I was extremely nervous as we’d both written our own vows to read during the ceremony. I was worried that I’d be emotional and unable to read them, so I got myself a bit worked up. But once the ceremony was over, I completely relaxed and just enjoyed the day. My grandad walked me down the aisle, which was very important to me. The emotion of the occasion must have got to our registrar as well as she accidentally mispronounced my name saying, “Welcome to the wedding of Chris and Ben!” This made everyone laugh and certainly eased my nerves. Chris wore a custom-made black two-piece suit, while his groomsmen were dressed in charcoal grey. This made him stand out in all the pictures and the colours complemented each other perfectly. The lace on my dress was pure white and floral so I accessorised with a pair of porcelain flower earrings to complement it, along with a dainty silver maple leaf necklace to match our theme. I wore a beautiful A-line gown by Enzoani. I’ve envisioned my wedding dress for years and this was exactly how I imagined it. It had spaghetti straps, a slightly plunging neckline, tight-fitting bodice covered in intricate lace and beading with a full whimsical tulle skirt with glitter and more lace. 41 REAL WEDDINGS
