Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - April/May 2021 (Issue 88)

64 www.gett yimages.co.uk Lucy Jade Sylvester creates beautiful pieces inspired by coastlines and the countryside. She tells us, “You cannot compete with the beauty of nature, its perfect lines and textures, which are reflected in my jewellery. I take moulds from woodland finds near my Oxfordshire-based studio and then cast them into the cavity they leave, the process allowing me to create exact replicas of life in solid silver and gold that retain the finest details. Texture and patterns from cow parsley stems, ryegrass, leaves, twigs and seed heads form wedding bands and engagement rings. The fragile veins and stems visible as the designs overlap to make a collection of fine botanical wedding jewellery, all cast from British countryside plants or shells with a scattering of diamonds. My work is evolving all the time, as the seasons change, the inspiration is new once more.” Lucy’s designs for her botanical bridal and woodland wedding collection are evolving constantly with engagement rings set with brilliant-cut, rose-cut and uncut diamonds. “These rings provide a timeless alternative for those who love our countryside and English gardens,” Lucy explains. 07989 436 458 | www.lucysylvester.co.uk www.facebook.com/LucyJadeSylvesterJewellery Jeweller Louise Parry located just across the border from Oxfordshire in Cirencester specialises in commissioned and limited-edition jewellery, timepieces and silverware handmade in her workshop and showroom.
