VENUE STYLING 55  touches FINISHING Stylish ways to dress your day F liss and Josie own The Boho Shack offering wedding styling, vintage prop hire and decorative wedding arches including a handmade macrame arch. We talk to them about what's trending. “This prop rental, styling and floral collaboration that we worked on at the Chiltern Open Air Museum was a collaboration between us and The Nagundo Tree that took place in the historic Arborfield Barn, dated from around 1500. The look is very alternative and a quirky take on tradition,” Fliss and Josie tell us. “The handmade macrame arch takes pride of place as the beautiful backdrop and the added tassels and foliage help set the boho vibe. The vintage rug marks the ceremony spot and this is flanked by vintage stoneware and French green glass bottles filled with magnolia and blossom. The vintage pink 'his' and 'her' chairs add a regal feel to the styling, and the delicate glass mid- century tableware, with hellebores, decorates the dainty wedding breakfast table topped with a rose gold velvet runner to add texture. The bride and groom, Lana and Charles, have a relaxed look and Lana's headdress is made from chaenomeles and mahonia with all flowers locally grown.” The Boho Shack The dream team who worked on the Chiltern Open Air Museum shoot were: Styling, décor hire and arch, The Boho Shack, 07740 861 110, www.berylvintagecaravan.com/the-boho-shack Styling and flowers, Ash at The Nagundo Tree, 07845 605 518, https://thenagundotree.co.uk Photographer, Eneka Stewart, 07733 097 904, www.enekastewart.com Venue, Chiltern Open Air Museum, www.coam.org.uk Models, Lana and Charles “This styled shoot was prompted by the need for more intimate and outdoor weddings at present. This festival feel with the bell tent and sheepskin rugs offer a cool vibe, from day to dusk. The table settings are displayed on a low-level grazing table with kiln cushions scattered around to sit on. The mini handmade macrame tasselled backdrop works perfectly here with the 70s-style wicker chairs placed on overlapping vintage rugs. The dried pampas grass complements the macrame feathers that are used as favours placed on charcoal grey stoneware plates surrounded by vintage copper vessels and brass candlesticks.” - Fliss and Josie “This new outdoor woodland venue lends itself to the popular boho feel perfectly. The different prints on the vintage rugs make a great alternative to a standard aisle runner. The green French vintage glass vases placed either side of the aisle displaying wild and dried pampas grass add a luxe touch.” - Fliss and Josie
