If you’re looking for a more traditional and stately ceremony, the Long Ceremony Room is perfect for 50 of your friends and family. Situated in the manor house, the room adjoins the Great Hall, which provides a delightful setting for reception drinks in the winter months. Post-vows, celebrate in the 16 th - century Tithe Barn, which hosts up to 150 diners, with an additional 50 guests accommodated for the evening reception. For smaller weddings, the barn provides an intimate and equally magical setting. After your wedding breakfast, tea and coffee can be taken in the Archer’s Hall while it’s transformed for the evening party. The barn backs onto wheat fields and natural woodland with far-reaching views towards the Chiltern hills. Lains Barn is a beautifully restored, listed barn with a timber-framed space dating back to 1750, the main barn features a festoon light-lined gallery, custom-built bar and a beautiful original oak wood block floor. Large glass doors open onto a lawned courtyard. The main barn transforms from the ceremony area (for up to 150 guests) to a stunning dining room complete with a dancefloor. At the heart of the venue lies the spacious courtyard and green, accessed via the barn’s large glass doors or from the byre. The perfectly manicured lawn is ideal for an outside ceremony, or can be used for pre-dinner drinks and garden games. The latest addition to the barn is an Indian sandstone terrace with an outdoor kitchen featuring Argentinian parrilla grills and wood fired pizza oven. Guests can use the terrace for drinks receptions and watch evening pizzas being prepared. The outdoor well is a unique feature as is the grain store which is set upon saddle stones and makes for a very popular photo backdrop. The open and covered byres (cowsheds)are beautiful examples of historical architecture, they still feature the original feeding stalls which are now festoon-lit to make the most of them all year round.
