The two older bridesmaids wore floor-length French-blue chiffon dresses with cold-shoulder detail, while the two younger bridesmaids wore silver grey chiffon floor-length dresses. My dress was by Maggie Sottero. It was a strapless, satin, A-line gown with diamanté around the neckline and waist. I had a cathedral-length Maggie Sottero veil edged with diamanté too, a tiara made of crystals and crystal drop earrings. We had a friend make a welcome board with pictures of us when we were five. “We had delicious canapés followed by French Onion soup with cheesy croutons, roast beef fillet with roast potatoes and vegetables, and chocolate brownie and cream.” The groom and his groomsmen wore grey three-piece tails, Prince of Wales check waistcoats and French blue silk ties — a cravat for the groom.
