Hayley adores peonies and was lucky that they were just coming into season at the time of year that she was getting married. “Our beautiful bouquets featured only peonies,” she tells us. “For our cake we wanted something different, so a Krispy Kreme donut tower it was! I also had a personalised sign made to signify that it was my wedding featuring Nick – it was the most commented on item that we had!” LOOKING THE PART Hayley chose a stunning sample dress from a bridal boutique in Staines. “I knew the exact style of dress I was looking for and found it while researching bridal gowns online,” she tells us. “I customised it with added diamante on the belt to add extra sparkle. I also wore a satin-trimmed, cathedral-length veil.” Nick chose a black tuxedo with a different style of jacket and a different colour buttonhole to his groomsmen while the couple’s bridesmaids wore dusky pink maxi dresses. TIME TO ENTERTAIN “We booked the band called Daft! because we have been to many of their gigs and they are brilliant!” Hayley tells us. “Everyone commented on them and the music they played, and I’m certain they will have more fans as a result of our wedding!” “I felt very calm in the morning and then totally overwhelmed before I walked down the aisle with my dad. Nick felt apprehensive as he just wanted it to be special for me but we both felt relaxed overall and enjoyed a fantastic day and evening.” - Hayley 35 REAL WEDDINGS
