She tells us, “Family and tradition, are a big part of a wedding day and as these images show, I designed a practical yet luxurious Scottish tartan and 100% silk waistcoat using colours as a nod to the groom’s heritage to ensure he felt connected to his ancestors and felt their presence on his wedding day.” Eloise adds, “This tartan fabric was also used to produce a tie for his father, which added a visual connection to their relationship, and continued that path through their family to their Scottish heritage.” Eloise adds, “I produce ties and bowties using off-cuts from the bespoke dresses that I have produced for brides that offer the fathers-of-the-bride the opportunity to enhance their connection to their daughters both visually and emotionally by representing a small part of the connection they have shared throughout their lives together.” Eloise explains how veils are a crucial aspect of a bridal outfit that brings the entire ensemble together whilst representing the bride’s transformation from their old life into their new life with their partner.
