Chris and Amy’s wonderfully personal wedding was spent with their closest family and friends Images courtesy of Beth Dowdell Photography is love ALL YOU NEED A my and Chris knew each other through mutual friends for years, but it was only when Amy came back from her second year at university that they caught each other’s eye. “I started working behind the bar at our local rugby club where Chris played,” Amy remembers. “He offered to walk me home one night after my shift – and that was it! We didn’t stop laughing, and ten years later we’re still laughing!” Chris took Amy by surprise when he popped the question on an autumnal day out in London. Amy says, “Being a bit non-traditional, we worked together with a family friend who is a jeweller to design my engagement ring. Chris surprised me once again by wanting to incorporate a diamond from a pair of his late-grandma’s earrings.” The couple set the date for 12 th September, 2020, and while this was during the pandemic, they had actually planned to have a smaller wedding all along.
