An Essex Wedding - March/april 2021 (Issue 97)

We chose to get married in England and to include as many Portuguese touches as possible. We thought a vineyard wedding with gorgeous views and great Portuguese food would be the perfect mix of cultures. Coggeshall is a really beautiful and historic town, and we were able to find plenty of local accommodation for guests. Posy & Fern made our centrepieces, and kindly posted progress updates on their Instagram page. Abigail from the company also talked me through making my own bouquet and recommended what flowers to use. I was so pleased with the result that I also made the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the men’s buttonholes. We used Portuguese tiles – or azulejos – as a motif for the day, with the table runners, ring cushion and guest book all made from the same tile-patterned fabric. 48
