An Essex Wedding - March/april 2021 (Issue 97)

All of the stationery was created by Chris’ best man, James. Since face masks were mandatory, Chris’ aunt sourced matching material to make masks for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The day was a real family effort, and we’re so grateful to everyone who dedicated their time to make it so special. Chris loves trains and works for the railway , so we opted for a subtle railway theme. He had an old woode n train that his grandad made him, which his uncle repain ted and added a carriage for people to put their cards and g ifts in. The theme was also reflected in the table names, which were named after London Underground lines. Roses are my favourite flower and Rose is my middle name! I put my stamp on the day with lots of roses in red – my favourite colour. We initially chose Roslin Beach Hotel because we wanted a venue with lots of accommodation for our family and friends to stay together – but coronavirus had different ideas! The hotel is beautiful, and the bay window looking out to sea was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. 42
