An Essex Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 92)

High House was top of my list from day one – nowhere else compared to it. It reminded us of a secret garden. We loved that the whole day could be held there and there was a bridal suite on site. We had a mirror table plan dressed with flower garlands, and each table was named after the years we had been together with a photo of us from each year. On the tables we had gold wooden place settings and Mr & Mrs cookies as favours. I lost my mum before our big day, but we set up a chair for her along with a plaque, a poem and a floral arrangement in her honour. We chose a timeless blush and champagne palette, which ran throughout our styling. My bouquet was a compact design comprising O’Hara roses, sweet avalanche roses, soft pink and peach roses with white hydrangeas and a mix of foliage. This design was reflected in all our floral arrangements. 48
