An Essex Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 91)

We were both nervous in the morning. The risk of getting your vows wrong is so high – it didn’t work out well for Ross and Emily in Friends! As soon as I walked into the ceremony room that all disappeared. The important part is promising to be with your best friend forever, after that nothing can ruin your day. I loved the beading of one Caroline Castigliano gown and the shape of another. I was able to combine the two and get a bespoke dress, which I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil. My Freya Rose shoes had the most amazing mother-of-pearl heel, and as they can be dyed I can wear them again. Phil, his groomsmen and our fathers wore a traditional morning suit from Moss Bros. My adult bridesmaids wore a full-length burgundy number while the little ones looked cute in ivory lace-detail dresses. Our centrepieces looked lovely in our seasonal colour palette; we had tall hand-tied displays sitting on the tables. They made a statement in such a dramatic room but they didn’t block our guests from talking to each other. REAL WEDDINGS 51 
