GAYNES PARK 01992 660 329 | gaynespark.co.uk WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? With a backdrop of rolling fields, enchanting woodland and the London skyline, Gaynes Park offers a location like no other. The Walled Garden is a picturesque setting in which to while away some hours, drink in hand. The venue offers a fabulous blend of rustic and contemporary. The two barns give a sense of the past with exposed brick walls and traditional barn doors, while the glass Orangery brings a modern edge. Big days come equipped with all the modern comforts a couple could wish for. LET’S CELEBRATE! Vows can be taken in a number of places. The Orangery (150 guests) lets the sunlight pour in and offers exquisite views of the garden year-round. The Gather Barn is an open-sided structure, which allows couples to hold their ceremony in the great outdoors. A select number of weddings can now be held in the surrounding woodland, while the Walled Garden is home to plenty of pleasant spots for a blessing. The Mill Barn (up to 200 guests) is a gorgeous place for post-vow celebrations. Sit under the exposed beams, dance the night away in the dedicated dancefloor area, relax on the mezzanine and enjoy amazing food from the talented Galloping Gourmet chefs. We love… The Long Walk allows newlyweds-to-be to enjoy a few quiet moments walking through the grounds as they approach The Orangery after spending the morning getting ready at Apple Loft Cottage. GOSFIELD HALL 01787 472 914 | gosfield-hall.co.uk WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Nestled on the edge of Gosfield village in scenic Constable country, Gosfield Hall is surrounded by 10 acres of landscaped parkland and a natural mile-long lake. Flanked by enormous statues of stags and styled with ornate fountains, it creates a stunning backdrop. The Grade I listed Georgian manor has four wings, each with differing façades. In the centre is a pretty gravelled courtyard and four impressive Roman statues built into the walls. Visitors step inside to find luxuriously opulent interiors. LET’S CELEBRATE! There are two indoor spaces for vows. The Queens Gallery (116 guests) boasts a 120-foot aisle, oak panelling and sparkling chandeliers for a spectacular entrance. The Grand Salon (90 guests) exudes contemporary style with two-storey sash windows and a hand-painted ceiling. When the weather is fine, the inner and outer courtyards (up to 116 guests) offer picture-perfect al fresco options. After the ceremony, guests can spill outside for a drinks reception in the courtyard. Alternatively, there’s the Grand Salon or Library if the weather is inclement. This can be followed by a superb wedding breakfast in the elaborately decorated Ballroom (116 guests) before the ultimate evening reception for up to 250 friends and family. The Library is a great place for people to relax and catch up, while the modern bar, dancefloor and resident DJ are sure to get the party started. We love… Up to 67 loved ones can retire to the on-site accommodation, which is tastefully decorated to complement the Tudor building. nicholaslauphoto.com justin-bailey.co.uk Images courtesy of lavenhamphotographic.co.uk THEMED VENUES 31
