Take inspiration from this fabulous shoot set in the heart of Essex THE SECRET GARDEN S ituated in our gorgeous county, Layer Marney Tower is a classic wedding backdrop with an array of beautiful gardens and is perfect for your nuptials. “The theme for the shoot was ‘modern whimsy ’ – I wanted to use classic styling and fashion elements, such as lace and roses, in a fresh and contemporary way,” shares photographer, Ayshea Goldberg. “I knew that I wanted to do a historical country house photo shoot and I love the venue, so I was really pleased when they were as keen as I was! From here I approached some very talented suppliers who I’ve worked with previously or admire, and those that would complement the style of the photos. We often pass each other during weddings with a few words of greeting, but never really have time to chat about what we’re up to and what’s new in our particular field of the industry.” The team opted for bright, yellow roses and fresh greenery, with hints of lemon to make the classic lace styling pop, and the dresses all had elements of lace too. The group first discussed ideas and shared a Pinterest board so they could all get involved and see the style that they were going for. “We got to really let our creativity work for us and we brought our ideas together to showcase our expertise – whether that’s new ideas that we know will inspire brides, or something that we love and know will continue to be popular,” adds Ayshea. 60
