Danny has been there to support me every step of the way during my recovery. He makes me stronger and I couldn’t have got through it without him.” First anniversary celebrations “Danny has planned a surprise weekend away for our first anniversary, which is lovely as I usually do all of the planning for our trips,” adds the bride.“I’m excited to find out what we are doing.” Why they should win… “It’s exciting to make it to the final. I spent so much time planning every little detail of our wedding and was so happy with how everything turned out,” says Gemma.“We hope everyone has enjoyed looking at our wedding pictures or has found our supplier list useful – winning would just be an added bonus.” Married life “Our relationship hasn’t changed, it’s just got better. It feels natural – like it was always meant to be,” says Megan.“It actually feels like we’ve been married a lot longer than we have, in a very good way.” First anniversary celebrations “We’re expecting our first child in March and our first anniversary is a month later, so we’ll be spending it as a family of three, which we are so excited about,” adds the bride.“We couldn’t ask for a better way to finish our first year of marriage as starting a family is something that we’ve been wanting and looking forward to for a long time.” Why they should win… “We were surprised, so happy, very flattered and honoured to have won our round. To us, our wedding was perfect and exactly how we wanted so it means a lot that others have voted for us and our special day,” says Megan.“We think we should win as we feel we kept the wedding personal to us and what we wanted. So much was homemade and designed by us, reflecting our personalities.” Megan Hobart married Mitchell Finlay at Crabbs Barn, Coggeshall, on 7 th April, 2017.Their day followed a navy, pink and rustic neutrals colour palette and was captured by Pure Image Wedding Photography (pureimagephotography.co.uk ). 53 WEDDING OF THE YEAR
