An Essex Wedding - Mar/Apr 2017 (Issue 79)

REAL WEDDINGS 37 Our photographer Anesta and her assistant Jay were fabulous! They were so inconspicuous that I worried they hadn’t got any photos, but when we got our gallery it was so perfect! We knew we wanted nature to have a strong consistent element throughout our day. Each of our favours were painstakingly nurtured into beautiful green and blush succulents by our green-fingered, good friends, Tora and Josh. “The pizza van was a huge hit – we still have guests talking about it now. It was just what everyone wanted at that time of night, and it didn’t stop people from leaving the dancefloor for too long,” – Natalie The cake was a present from my nan, it was mind-blowing – not only did it look incredible but it was so delicious. We had it for our dessert so we all got to enjoy it! I’m a coeliac so Michelle made an individual cake for me that was gluten-free; being able to enjoy a delicious dessert on the day was wonderful. Our florist Sally was amazing and so patient – we’re both a little clueless about flowers. The idea of the copper arch and the eucalyptus down the aisle as a runner was something that evolved throughout the planning. We wanted our stationery to be consistent with our theme. We used Russet & Gray which offered a bespoke service. Sarah helped us develop exactly what we wanted with a simple emblem for the day. We had Get Gospel for our entertainment during and after the ceremony. They led the hymns and did a performance of a song called Oceans . It was incredible and everyone said they loved it – it brought the church alive.
