PEACHY Life is Daisy and Nick Hamilton at Braxted Park Estate Images courtesy of Danielle Veitch It was an online video that first introduced Daisy and Nick to Braxted Park Estate. They booked a viewing and loved it straight away. Daisy tells us, “We adored the different spaces that Braxted had to offer. The gardens are so beautiful and well-looked after, but the initial wow-factor was the incredible driveway leading up to the main house. It acted as a real centre piece to the day as guests arrived, but also as they left because of the lanterns lining it either side.” SETTING THE SCENE Immediately after the ceremony, welcome drinks and canapes were served in the Walled Gardens whilst the newlyweds mingled with guests and started to have more photos taken. The food was a huge success, as Daisy explains. “The canapes went so quickly and we were worried that we wouldn’t have any ourselves, but the team put a plate aside for us in our room for when the night was over – it was perfect! The main event was a three-course meal and our favourite part was the trio of desserts. We’re huge dessert people so we were really excited about this. The original trio was great, but we asked if we could change a few things to make it just right for us. The team behind the catering were amazing – so helpful and accommodating! After the meal, once the cake had been cut and the evening guests arrived, we had pizzas which was the perfect end to all the food and drink throughout the day.” DRESSED TO IMPRESS Daisy wore Posie by Made with Love Bridal (purchased from Perla Nova). The dress really was her ‘day dot’. Daisy recalls, “It was the first picture that I saved when I started properly looking and knew that I had to find it. I tried on some beautiful dresses at Perla Nova, including some other Made with Love dresses, but when I tried on Posie, both me and my mum cried!” The colour palette was pinks, peaches and whites. Daisy’s seven bridesmaids all wore satin gowns with varied necklines to suit their style. The groomsmen’s pocket squares and ties were also peachy hues. Fresh white flowers accented with foliage and pastel roses were placed around the reception room and Daisy’s bouquet really was something to behold. TIME TO CELEBRATE For the Hamilton’s, the party was key and they chose an incredible DJ and saxophone player for the evening. Daisy adds, “We wanted to make sure the dancefloor was filled all night, and it definitely was! We had guests request songs when they RSVP’d, so it was fun to see reactions when their request was played throughout the night! The saxophonist was incredible” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “If I really had to choose only one moment, it would be when we walked back down the aisle after the ceremony. Seeing our friends and family celebrating with us was so special, and then when the doors closed, we had a minute to ourselves to process everything that had happened. Looking back, it only felt like a quick moment, but it was one of my favourites of the day!” WORDS OF WISDOM “If someone offers to help, even if it’s something tiny – take it! It’s so easy for some people to get stuck in the details (I am and forever will be that girl). This part is supposed to be fun too!” REAL WEDDINGS 23
