Stetsons and sundowners set the scene for Hannah and Ben’s amazing western-themed wedding! Images courtesy of The Bearded Photographers The ultimate hoedown Hannah and Ben met at the car garage where Ben worked. It was following a car accident Hannah’s dad was in, the car was a wreck but thankfully Dad walked away unscathed. Fast forward a year, Hannah returns to the garage with her own car and Ben is there. Hannah explains, “I left the car with him and when I returned to collect it, I took homemade mince pies to say thank you which he exchanged for his mum’s homemade brownies, and we spent about an hour chatting... I went back to my parents and me and my dad decided to go to a garden centre to get some more Christmas lights for the front of the house. Whilst there, I received a text that made my heart skip a beat, Ben asked me if I’d like to go to a Christmas jumper party with him that night. I agreed! After four outfit changes, numerous make-up touch-ups and hair styles there was a knock at the door, mum answered. I came running down the stairs and the first time my mum ever saw Ben he was standing at our front door in a pair of cowboy boots, Santa shorts and …Yep, you guessed it, nothing else. “We got to the party and it was hosted by Ben’s cousin and wife. I was so nervous. I knew nobody apart from Ben and I think he could sense how nervous I was, so we stayed together the entire time. I don’t think either of us wanted the night to end but unfortunately, it did. The next morning, I woke up hoping there would be a text from him and there was and from that day onwards I don’t think we’ve gone a day without a text being sent to each other or seeing each other. That was 10 years ago.” Hannah King married Ben Turner in front of family and friends on 6th September 2024 in their meadow in Finchingfield.
