An Essex Wedding - March/April 2024 (Issue 115)

We wanted burgundy red suits. The groomsmen all wore the same, except Alex who wore a rich red knitted tie whereas the groomsmen wore a burnt orange knitted tie. My little boy matched in a little dungaree set. We loved the breathtaking views and the building itself, filled with history. My sister got married at Layer Marney Tower. I’m very close to my sister and to get married in the same room as her meant so much to us. The bridesmaids dresses were very cocktail party! They were black lace dresses with copper/gold and rose gold stars to tie in with the constellations. I bought my dress from The Wedding Shop. It was called ‘Nola’ part of the Portofino Private Label. It was exactly what I wanted: simple, traditional and elegant. The Rolls Royce was included in the venue and was perfect. The colour was really on theme and the driver was dressed the part as well. It was the same man who drove my sister on her wedding day too. 44
