Your Yorkshire Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 64)

RISE HALL 0345 450 4545 | Rise Hall is one of Yorkshire’s largest privately-owned Grade II stately country houses offering exclusivity just a short distance from Beverley. With 30 acres of lawns and woodland, there are ample locations for you to get the perfect wedding shots, while inside you’ll discover interiors designed with wedding couples in mind – think original features, inviting places to relax, and an Orangery Ballroom dressed in fairylights. The Morning Room and Drawing Room can be combined for your ceremony to seat up to 120; or instead choose the Morning Room alone for 80. Receptions for up to 180 (250 for your evening affair) take place in the Orangery Ballroom, a light-filled space with five sets of patio doors leading out to the terrace. There’s also a honeymoon suite, 30 further individually-styled guest bedrooms, a firepit and even the venue’s very own traditional Yorkshire pub bar! HIGH TRENHOUSE 0333 112 2747 | A charming exclusive-use wedding venue set in beautiful secluded grounds within the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, High Trenhouse is perfect for intimate weddings wrapped in nature. It has all the atmosphere, facilities, ambience and a variety of spaces available for you to hold your ceremony. From a lovely airy room with a vaulted ceiling to a wooded glade and a tree-lined meadow flooded with sunshine, the venue is exclusively yours. Surrounded by three-and-a-quarter acres of greenery, mossy walls, winding woodland paths, ponds and all the livestock and wildlife you’d expect, the venue is an idyllic oasis of calm and tranquility. If you’re not quite trusting the British weather though, the meadow will comfortably hold a tipi or a marquee for more covered space. Both buildings have their own dining spaces, bar and lounge wrapped up in beautiful gardens and woodland. The venue’s lawned areas are wonderful for congregating for canapés and cocktails, and there are plenty of quiet corners to relax in and explore. Ceremonies are held in Malhamdale Room (80 guests), Littondale Room (60 guests), Resting Hare Veranda (20 guests) or Epic Stores (20 guests). The venue’s buildings and spaces are also suited to formal sitdown meals or more relaxed dining options. The in-house team will take care of all catering for the members of your party staying overnight, but outside catering is required for the main event. Both buildings boast fully-stocked comfortable bars. Bennett’s is a lounge with conservatory, while North End’s bar is smaller with an attached veranda. Beers and spirits are sourced from local brewers and distilleries wherever possible and there’s a bevvy of non-alcoholic options too. 24
