Your Yorkshire Wedding - May/June 2023 (Issue 60)

How can you not be attracted to Goldsborough Hall? It’s a beautiful stately home with wonderful surroundings, and I felt like a Princess for the day. We chose chocolate hearts for favours, presented in a white organza bag with personalised label thanking our guests for celebrating with us. Our table plan and table names were designed to match our invites; ivory pearlescent card with Champagne gold glitter border and blush pink satin bow. I wore an ivory Martin Thornburg Regal Sequin Ball Gown, adding draped sleeves with sequin and jewels, as well as removing buttons from the train and a sequin layer to the skirt of the dress. My cake was perfect; a three-tier stack of lemon, chocolate and Victoria sponge. White in decoration, it also had crystal sparkles on the top and bottom tier. Kieran and his groomsmen looked amazing in their royal blue threepiece suits with blush pink tie and handkerchief. I knew I wanted lots of roses and big white blooms when it came to our flowers. My florist nailed it with Playa Blanca roses, hydrangeas, ranunculi and French ruscus. 40
