Your Yorkshire Wedding - September/October 2022 (Issue 56)

MEET EMMA FROM FRANK BIRD 01924 372 548 | www.frankbird.co.uk This is a really exciting time for couples and every minute should be enjoyed! Often by the time our grooms-to-be call in to view suits, the wedding theme or colour has been chosen. While we advise to keep an open mind, we suggest our couples bring colour swatches and any pictures of looks they like to give us an idea of their style or taste. It helps us get an idea of the overall look the couple want to achieve. Pinterest is a great way to do this. In our stores, we own all of our stock, so the customer can try on different styles in the size they need to get an idea of different combinations and how these will fit. Any alterations are done free of charge for our hirewear and are usually completed the week before the wedding. While this may seem last minute, we have such a quick turnaround that this is the best way to fulfill all requirements. Any final adjustments can be done in five to10 minutes as we have the luxury of an alteration facility on site. I personally recommend going for a timeless look. Lounge suits and morning tails will never date and you’ll look back on your photos in years to come and still love it. However, tweeds have been huge this year and look great for a boho, rustic-themed wedding. Due to the popularity of some styles we advise to book as soon as you know the outfit you require. This gives us time to order any extra stock required and helps avoid disappointment. In addition to our hirewear, we also offer ready-to-wear tailoring to purchase from leading brands including Hugo Boss, Roy Robson, Remus Uomo and many more. Our custom-made service allows you to create a suit that's one-of-a-kind to you, and takes care of specific requirements from colour-themed lining and matching buttons to the wedding date embroidered on the collar or inside pocket. MEET KERENSA FROM BIJOU BRIDAL BOUTIQUE 01484 690 454 https://bijoubridalboutique.com/#bijou Purchasing your perfect wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses for the biggest day of your life is not like any other item of clothing. This is where the expert help of a bridal boutique consultant can be worth his or her weight in gold! Every bride wants to look her very best on her wedding day and there are so many designers, dress styles, colours and fabrics, that it can be incredibly overwhelming right at the start. My first top tip is to start wedding dress shopping a good 12 months before your wedding date. It will give you a chance to visit a handful of boutiques to try on different styles to get a feel for what suits your shape and what you feel comfortable in. Secondly, keep the number of boutiques you visit to a minimum and try and keep it local to where you live so that when it comes to making any minor alterations to your wedding dress, you don’t have to travel to the other side of the UK to get them done! Who needs that kind of travel stress when you’re on the countdown to the biggest day of your life! Thirdly, you want a trusted business with excellent reviews about their customer service to look after your needs and so do all the important research before booking any appointments. Check out their socials and the website to get a feel if the bridal boutique could be the right fit for you. All bridal shops carry a variety of styles to suit most tastes but if you have a particular designer dress in mind, don’t book at a boutique before checking that it has what you’re looking for. It could be a waste of your valuable time if they don’t carry the styles that you prefer and it might leave you feeling a little deflated. Research is key! https://charlotteelizabethphotography.com https://charlotteelizabethphotography.com 77 LOOKING YOUR BEST
