Your Yorkshire Wedding - Page number 40 - September/October 2021 (Issue 50)

We had to find somewhere big enough for the number of guests, but that had a cosy feel to it. As soon as we walked in The Woodman Inn we were greeted with a drink and a smile and it felt right. Our centrepieces were designed and arranged by the florist so the theme ran throughout. Our wedding was split across Thunderbridge Gardens and the pub venue which worked really well as it provided a change of scenery for our day guests. We had a festival theme for the evening and the atmosphere was just like being at a gig with our band, Loaded from Barnsley, playing indie anthems to a packed dancefloor. Flowers were everywhere, we had a traditional, neutral style for the flowers to complement the country vibe during the day ‒ most guests took some home with them! A big factor was having our dog with us and The Woodman Inn had no problem with that. The bridesmaids wore champagne-coloured dresses in a flowing style from House of Fraser. 40
