Q&A Fashion and beauty Local experts offer advice on how to look your big-day best FITS LIKE A GLOVE I have a very full bust. What dress styles will suit me, and how can I get the right support? It’s a great question and one we face on a daily basis. Begin by researching designers and visiting boutiques that stock their dresses. Our top designers for a full bust include Maggie Sottero and Essense of Australia as their designs offer lots of beautiful, supportive fabrics with great bust cups, giving you better support and comfort. Your consultant will help you find the right styles to try on and will be there to help and guide you along the way by listening to your ideas and any concerns you may have. The great news is a lot of necklines can work on a full bust, from V-neck and sweetheart to a square neck and Bardot. Your stylist will ensure that you are measured correctly for your dress which may mean ordering a slightly bigger size to give you the all important bust coverage. Working with a great seamstress is vital, as they will fit the dress to your body and can even add extra boning or additional bra support if needed. The team at Wedding Belles of Four Oaks www.weddingbellesbridal.co.uk NATURAL BEAUTY I don’t wear a lot of make-up, so how do I create the perfect look while still feeling like me? To create a bridal look where you feel like yourself, skincare preparation is key. Ensure you are cleansing your skin twice a day, exfoliating once a week and using a moisturiser suited to your skin type to help you look hydrated and glowy. Having this base will limit the amount of products used creating a more natural look. Using a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation will feel more lightweight but still even out your complexion. Apply a little concealer in the areas where discolouration and breakouts appear, and remember less is more! Lightly apply bronzer, blush and highlighter to give you a lovely glow. Lightly fill in sparse areas on your eyebrows to give that full but natural effect. Add individual lashes to the outer corner of the eye to enhance your natural lashes without making them feel heavy and add a little shimmer on the lid to make your eyes pop! Use a lipstick colour that is close to your natural lip. I love Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, which will add colour but still look natural. Creating your bridal look, is all about enhancing your natural beauty and not masking it, as it’s important that you feel like you on your big day!
