Your West Midlands Wedding- December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 77)

Here’s my moodboard to help give you heaps of inspiration. We’ve ordered wooden cutouts of our guests’ names to be used as place names. They look really cute and double up as favours. Originally, we didn’t want light-up letters, but after seeing a set-up at one of our venue’s wedding shows, we loved the look and have hired them. Dave and I have purchased an oak direction sign that will greet our guests as they enter our venue. Although I was against the idea of wearing a veil, I tried one on with my dress and fell in love. We came across a local company that creates personalised cake toppers, so we’ve decided to order one with figures of us and our cat. Our venue offers guests a choice of ribbons when they enter the venue, pink if they want people to keep their distance, green if they’re comfortable to shake hands and blue if they are happy to hug. I think it’s a great way of making sure that everyone feels happy and safe on the day. We’re planning to buy personalised cufflinks for Dave and his best man. I love this buttonhole wrapped in twine and am going to ask our florist if she can do the same. For our tables, we’re purchased concrete planters that are shaped like characters from our favourite films and tv shows to add a personal touch to the day. BRIDE’S DIARY 47
